Care to hazard a guess?

It’s none other than Singapore!!

After five long years of Japan ruling the roost as No.1 in the Henley Passport Index, things took a turn in the summer of 2023. Japan slipped down to third place, and Singapore took the crown, becoming the World’s Most Powerful Passport!

And here’s the kicker: Singaporean citizens can jet off to a staggering 193 destinations out of 227 across the globe without needing a visa! Now that’s what I call travel freedom at its finest!

Europe is staging a remarkable comeback in the prestigious Henley & Partners Passport Index! Germany, Italy, and Spain are now proudly sharing the second spot, offering a fantastic visa-free access to 190 destinations.

Meanwhile, Japan, South Korea, Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, and Sweden are not far behind, standing strong at the third position with access to 189 destinations.

India, on the other hand, is climbing up the ranks, gaining five spots and reaching the 80th position.

The United States and the United Kingdom have faced a bit of a setback, with the UK improving to the fourth spot and the US dropping to the eighth position. Currently, they offer visa-free access to 183 destinations.

The best passports to hold in 2023 are:

1. Singapore (192 destinations)

2. Germany, Italy, Spain (190 destinations)

3. Austria, Finland, France, Japan, Luxembourg, South Korea, Sweden (189)

7. Canada, Greece (185 destinations)

8. Lithuania, United States (184 destinations)

9. Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia (183 destinations)
