Perhaps the easiest visa I have applied for, in a long time. No hassles, no inconvenience, easy to fill, straightforward, this is how to apply for Uzbekistan Visa.

Indians can apply for e-visa on the Uzbekistan Visa Application site

  1. Click on Application for e-visa
  1. Enter all the below details correctly
  1. Enter the correct arrival and departure date to Tashkent (or other airports in Uzbekistan). Check your arrival date if it’s a late night flight and lands on +1 date, to avoid any error.
  1. Input your passport information correctly.
  1. When inputting ‘Additional Details’, your entire address is not required. Mentioning the city is adequate. But do mention the name of your stay in Uzbekistan and Indian number.
  1. Upload a passport-size photograph and your first page of your passport. Ensure that the prerequisites to upload are followed.
  1. Click Next
  1. Enter your email and text from image (that displays on your screen)
  1. You will receive an email from root@e-visa.gov.uz with an account activation link and your code. This activation link is to make the payment.
  1. Click on the activation link, enter the code and make the payment.
  1. Once the payment is made you will receive confirmation of the same on email along with the timeline of e-visa to be received.

An advocate of conservation of ecologically fragile spaces and conscious travel, storytelling wasn't always my goal. It started as an escape, turned into a calling and eventually spread its wings. A banking stint, a teaching tenure, an environmental thesis - a bit of everything, only to realize that I am at my best when I travel, interacting with locals, curating itineraries and threading together contributions of every element in the larger scheme of things through words and visuals.
